Plateau
Plateau is a porcelain tray defined by a play between light and shadow. Light activates the primary (functional) parts, while shadow deactivates those that are considered secondary. Plateau was built from the desire to make a product that consists solely of a surface. The container's deep green colour has a granular surface, enhancing its interaction with light. While a slab of clay would usually collapse and deform when kiln-fired at high temperature, the two arches keep the clay upright while also functioning as handles.
