Boundary

Boundary is a circular wall that creates a separation between inside and outside. It explores the typology of bowls, which state that the bottom of a bowl is redundant. The polyester bowl uses and visually integrates with the surface upon which it's placed. The section changes in thickness, causing the transparency and colour to vary from top to bottom. The thicker section adds visual weight, as if pushing the volume down onto the table. At the same time, the varying thickness creates a visual distortion, showing a deformed image of the contents placed inside the circle.
